Pandro
Pandro is my keeper puppy out of my 2022 dual-sired litter between Epona and Tuono. For as long as I've been involved with sighthounds, it has been my dream to own a lurcher. So when the opportunity arose to breed one of my girls to an outstanding, authentic, UK-bred lurcher, I could not pass it up. It took a lot of effort and coordination to make things happen, but in the end I got my lurcher puppy (just one!), and I love him dearly.
Pandro is a big, strong, powerful boy, but oh so sweet, and with such a willingness to please (as every proper lurcher should). From an early age, he had a natural desire to retrieve, and I have done my best to continue to cultivate and nurture that behavior. In his first year, Pandro earned the first two levels of the AKC Fetch Test program, and is in training for the Advanced and Retriever levels. He also used his retrieving skills to earn several trick dog titles through the Do More With Your Dog program, and enjoys training for the sport of flyball, along with his brother, Jeep.
In addition to all the fun fetch games, Pandro also loves chasing rabbits and lures. He made his racing debut running under the AOK9 program in the fall of 2024 and has already earned points towards his racing championship. In the field, Pandro showed tremendous speed early on, even as a puppy, rivaling the fastest dogs on my team - including Bonnie the Greyhound. He helped put multiple hares in the bag during his first hunting season, and took his first solo hare on his 2nd birthday. I am looking forward to spending many more days hunting with my buddy.
At home, Pandro is the perfect companion, often choosing to lay directly under my feet whenever I'm working at my desk. If ever there was a dog who embodied man's best friend, it would be my beloved Mr. P.
