Jeep
Jeep is my keeper puppy out of my 2022 dual-sired litter between Epona and Pi. He is not the dog I wanted, but he is definitely the dog I needed, and I am so blessed to have him. His father, Pi, was my everything, and when I lost him unexpectedly about a year after Jeep was born, I was completely devastated. Jeep is such a reflection of his father, and having him here with me has made the loss just bearable.
Jeep, affectionately known as "Peep" is the bounciest baby boy you ever did meet. He finds joy wherever he goes, and he likes to express his joy by jumping straight up into the air. It is not an uncommon sight to see him bouncing during our daily walks whenever he sees a squirrel or a bird, or even just to try to get his brother to play with him. His aptitude for jumping has made him a prodigy at the sports of dock diving and flyball. In his first season of dock diving, Jeep earned his Dock Master and Dock Elite titles through the North American Diving Dogs, with a personal best jump of 26 feet! I am so looking forward to competing with him this coming summer and seeing just how far he can fly.
In addition to dock diving, Jeep and his brother Pandro are my first two flyball dogs in training. Although we still have a long road ahead of us before we can compete in a tournament, it has been so much fun teaching these boys how to play the game. Jeep also enjoys Nosework for fun, and has earned his UKC Novice Containers title.
Like the rest of his family, Jeep also enjoys hunting and lure sports. He made his LGRA debut in the fall of 2024 and has started earning points towards his GRC. While he may not be the fastest dog on the track, he always gives it his all. When he's not chasing a lure, you can find him out in the fields chasing rabbits and birds. He also recently started doing some urban ratting with our friends (SCRAT).
As a show dog, Jeep has done me so proud. At his first points show, which also happened to be our breed club National Specialty, Jeep won Best of Breed over specials at the age of 10 months. By the spring of 2024 he finished his UKC Championship, and by fall of the same year he also finished his UKC Grand Championship and earned the #1 spot in the Top Ten rankings for the year.
All in all, Jeep is an absolute joy and the apple of my eye. He is a perfect blend of his parents - a goofy, fun loving boy who is sweet as pie.
