Gold Rush Kat Cora (Nut Nut)
Nut Nut is a delightful little 7 lb Rat Terrier. She came to us from Gold Rush Kennels in Placerville after her breeder had waited several years to find just the right home for her. Knowing our fondness for the minis and for racing, they sent her home with us for a trial period in December 2010. She settled in quickly and two years later we can't imagine life without our little Nutty Butt!
Nut Nut is a natural show dog and loves to prance around the ring and make pretty poses. She has been shown in UKC altered classes as well as regular fun match classes and took home her first Best of Breed at the SVDFA Fun Match in March of 2012!
Although she has plenty of natural prey drive, it took Nut Nut a little bit more time to catch on to chasing the artificial lure. In April of 2012, she entered her very first All K9 sprint race meet and ended up placing second overall! We think that with more conditioning and training she will be a tough contender for the High Score award.
In addition to racing and showing, Nut Nut is quite an accomplished weight puller. She entered her first pulls in April 2011 and earned two legs towards her United Weight Puller title! Even at 7 lbs, Nutty's personal bests are upwards of 100 lbs! She's a mighty little dog!
